Building in the open
Introducing the Printree Marketplace
Browse real machines. See real prices. Order without a sales call.
For as long as copiers have been sold, getting a price has required a phone call. We are building the place where it does not.
What is the Printree Marketplace?
It is a place to browse actual copiers with actual prices attached. You filter them by what matters to you, configure a lease or a purchase, and order it — without speaking to a salesperson.
Service, toner, parts and labor are included in the monthly payment. A full-size 45ppm color copier runs $209 to $349 a month, on terms of 36, 48, 60 or 63 months, across 9 brands: Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Toshiba, Sharp, Xerox, Canon, Epson, Lexmark and Ricoh.

Why does buying a copier still require a phone call?
Most dealers price each customer individually. That only works if the price is never published — the moment it is, every customer can see what everyone else pays. So the price stays behind a quote form, a sales call and a proposal.
That adds 4 steps between you and a number you should be able to read on a page.
Find dealer · Request quote · Take sales call · Wait for proposal · Negotiate

What an escalation clause actually costs you
Many copier leases raise your payment by a fixed percentage every year. The industry norm is 5-10%. It is usually one line in the contract, and it compounds. Printree leases have 0% escalation: the payment in year 5 is the payment in year 1.
Based on a $300 monthly payment. Five-year total: $20,703 with escalation, $18,000 without — a difference of $2,703.
| Year | Competitor at 7% | Printree at 0% | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | $300/mo | $300/mo | $0 |
| Year 2 | $321/mo | $300/mo | $252 |
| Year 3 | $343/mo | $300/mo | $522 |
| Year 4 | $368/mo | $300/mo | $810 |
| Year 5 | $393/mo | $300/mo | $1,119 |
| 5-year total | $20,703 | $18,000 | $2,703 |
At the top of our range ($349/month) the five-year gap exceeds $3,100.
What you will be able to do on the marketplace
Browse by what you actually care about
Filter by monthly payment, pages per month, meter count, brand, speed, color or mono, and lease or buy. Meter count is the filter nobody else in the industry offers. On a refurbished machine it is the best available proxy for how much life is left in it.
Configure the lease yourself
Pick a term of 36, 48, 60 or 63 months, or buy outright — refurbished at $7,000-$8,000 or new at $12,000-$17,000. The price updates as you choose.
See your machine after you buy it
A dashboard will show your meter, toner levels, service history and payments in 1 place, so you never have to call to find out where things stand.
Order more than a copier
Later phases add inventory from our network of 15,000 dealer partners, and then paper, toner, supplies and managed IT for the whole office.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a copier lease cost on Printree?
$209 to $349 a month for a full-size 45ppm color copier, all in. That includes 5,000 black-and-white and 500 color pages every month, with overage at $0.01 per B&W page and $0.07 per color page.
Will I have to talk to a salesperson?
0 sales calls is the goal. Pricing is already published today, and the instant quote generator is live. Configuring and ordering without a rep is what we are building now.
What is included in the monthly payment?
9 of 9 items: equipment, delivery, installation, service calls, parts, labor, toner, on-site technician and warranty. A typical dealer includes 6 of those 9 and bills the rest separately.
What happens if the machine breaks?
$0 extra. Service calls, parts, labor and on-site technician visits are all included in the monthly payment.
Can I buy instead of lease?
Yes. A refurbished machine runs $7,000 to $8,000 and a new one $12,000 to $17,000. Lease terms, if you prefer to lease, are 36, 48, 60 or 63 months.
What is a meter count and why does it matter?
1 number tells you how many pages a machine has already printed. On a refurbished copier it is the best available proxy for how much life is left in it, which is why the marketplace will let you filter by it.
Can you get me out of my current lease?
In 1 step, you can ask. Request a quote and tell us your current payment and remaining term; we review the numbers and tell you whether a buyout works.
When will the full marketplace be live?
5 phases, built in order. Phases 1 and 2 — the catalogue, and configure-and-order — are the current focus. The dashboard, dealer inventory and office supplies follow.
$209 to $349 a month, all in.
Pricing is live today. The rest of the marketplace is on its way.
